Student Spotlight

Planetary adventures, both fact and fiction.
 
Kemi Ashing-Giwa is a second-year PhD student in Earth and Planetary Sciences and a bestselling science fiction author who never misses a chance to blend lab and lit. "I like having my hands on things and being able to study the world around me while also keeping my toe in things that might be happening on other planets."

Celebration of the Tompkins Archives April 22, 2024, 4:30-7:30pm PT, Traitel Building, Stanford. The Stanford University Libraries invite you to welcome three wonderful additions to our Sustainability collections: the archives of Tompkins Conservation, Doug Tompkins, and Kris Tompkins. Learn more about their efforts and how these archives will be used at Stanford and beyond.

SDSS Accelerating Climate Solutions: The Macroeconomics of Climate Change April 24, 2024, 4:30-6:30pm PT, Green Library. Join us for this presentation from Bo Li, Deputy Managing Director at the International Monetary Fund, for an enlightening afternoon focused on the macroeconomic impacts of climate change.
