Affinity based clubs are a popular option, including climate and sustainability groups. The Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability partners with many of them, including:
There are more than 200 Alumni Clubs based on class years, regions, interests, identity, careers, community service, and campus/student activities:

Upcoming Events
Environmental Justice 2.0 with Professor Gerald Torres, July 15, 2024, 4:00-5:00 pm PT. Free virtual event sponsored by Stanford Alumni in Sustainability. Professor Torres joins Naomi Boak, '74, to discuss the current administration's efforts to mitigate the heavy burdens of climate change on those least equipped to handle them. They will also outline what actions we must take to support a healthy planet and a healthy future for the most vulnerable among us.
