Update from our Chair

Dear Civil & Environmental Engineering Community, Alumni & Friends,

I hope this newsletter finds you well and that your new year is off to a great start. Our department had a busy fall quarter participating in numerous events, launching new courses, and of course leading many exciting research projects. We have recently returned from Stanford’s two-week winter break and are feeling refreshed and excited for the year to come!

I encourage you to stay connected with us in the coming year and hope you enjoy reading the many highlights from our department in this newsletter. As always, thank you for your support and advocacy for Stanford Civil & Environmental Engineering.

Sincerely,

Sarah Billington
UPS Foundation Professor and Chair
Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering
