Thirty years ago, GSB professor Chuck Holloway and adjunct professor Irv Grousbeck took a chance on an unproven idea: embedding entrepreneurship at the core of management education. Their vision and conviction led to the creation of the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies (CES).
As we celebrate the Center’s 30th anniversary, we are proud to officially announce its renaming as the Grousbeck-Holloway Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. This recognition was made possible through the generosity of a dedicated community of GSB alumni and donors who came together to honor the extraordinary impact Irv and Chuck have had on students, organizations, and industries.
Entrepreneurship now sits at the heart of the GSB experience. More than one-quarter of graduating students pursue entrepreneurial paths immediately after graduation, and hundreds of alumni return each year to mentor, teach, invest, and contribute their time and expertise to the school’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
This issue of the newsletter is dedicated to stories about entrepreneurship in celebration of the Grousbeck-Holloway Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. Enjoy the photos (above) from the recent 30th anniversary celebration on campus. We are deeply grateful to the extraordinary alumni community whose continued partnership and engagement help the GSB imagine and build what's next.
