The average human will spend ⅓ of their life at work, yet many still look to their non-working hours as their source of happiness. Using insights gleaned from the regrets of the dying, combined with cutting-edge behavioral research, Jennifer Aaker — the General Atlantic Professor at the GSB — examines how we make the mistake of chasing happiness instead of meaning, and shares a recipe for a beautiful life and how it can be integrated into the workplace.

Mark your calendars and join us for the inauguration and investiture of Stanford University’s 13th president (and former GSB Dean) Jonathan D. Levin, on Friday, September 27. Check your email for your personal ticket link to attend in person as part of the alumni community, or watch via livestream.

Celebrate with fellow GSB alumni at an evening honoring David C. Hodgson, MBA ’82, with the Excellence in Leadership Award. Join a rare opportunity to be back in the classroom with faculty, students, and cutting-edge research. Professors Kate Casey, Anat Admati, and Saumitra Jha, invite us to virtually join their session exploring changes in the global political landscape as populist revolts and subsequent push backs have shaped recent elections in the UK, France, and India. The new Insights & Bites series, sponsored by the Business, Government & Society Initiative (BG&S), is generously opening up a livestream for alumni to join students in getting a behind-the-scenes look at the latest research at the heart of the GSB.
